CIC MONTHLY LUCKY DRAW: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

It is important that you read these terms carefully to ensure that you understand.

By entering the CIC lucky draw, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below.

The lucky draw is run by Citiq Meter Solutions (Pty) Ltd Registration No. 2009/022316/07 trading as Citiq Prepaid (Citiq Prepaid) in its sole discretion.

Citiq Prepaid reserves the right to amend the lucky draw prize, frequency and/or terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.

ELIGIBILITY TO ENTER

The lucky draw is exclusive to contractors registered with the CIC (staff members and suppliers of Citiq Prepaid are excluded from the draw).

HOW TO ENTER

There is no fee to enter.

Each Citiq Prepaid sub-meter successfully installed and registered by a CIC contractor in a particular month, will automatically be entered for that month’s lucky draw as a one-off entry i.e. sub-meters will not be entered into further lucky draws after the month in which the sub-meter was successfully installed and registered. 

THE DRAW

On the 5th business day of each month, Citiq Prepaid will randomly select one sub-meter number from all the sub-meters that were successfully installed and registered by CIC contractors in the month of the lucky draw. 

The winner will be the CIC contractor who installed the randomly selected sub-meter.

THE PRIZE

Citiq Prepaid will pay prize money of R10 000 (ten thousand rands) to the winner’s nominated bank account by way of a single Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment within 5 business days of their being notified as to the winner (and providing proof bank account details and ID if so required).

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or payable in cash or any other form other than a single EFT payment, directly into the winning contractor’s nominated bank account. 

In the case of refusal or non-acceptance of the prize, or conditions that are inherent to the lucky draw, the prize will not be awarded to the winner. In this instance, Citiq Prepaid is entitled to randomly choose another sub-meter number from all the sub-meters that were successfully installed and registered in the month of the lucky draw concerned.

The decision by Citiq Prepaid regarding any aspect of the lucky draw and/or prize is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT

The winner will be notified on the 5th business day of each month via the contact cellphone number and email address provided on the CIC membership form.

Citiq Prepaid will attempt to contact the winner by cellphone and email up to two times.

If the winner does not respond within 5 business days after the second attempt is made, they will lose their right to the prize, and Citiq Prepaid reserves the right to randomly choose a new winning sub-meter number.

Citiq Prepaid will not accept responsibility for incomplete or inaccurate contact details provided by the CIC contractor.

The winner will be required to visit their preferred wholesaler or retailer where the winning sub meter was purchased, to meet with representatives of Citiq Prepaid and the supplier for the winner’s announcement and photographic opportunity. 

DATA PROTECTION AND PUBLICITY

The entrant understands and agrees that to offer the lucky draw, Citiq Prepaid must collect and use personal information about the entrant.

You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the lucky draw being used by Citiq Prepaid to administer the lucky draw.

All personal information shall be used following Citiq Prepaid’s Privacy Notice.

The winner agrees to the release of their first name, business name and/or place of work on Citiq Prepaid’s various media resources e.g. website, Facebook, and CIC newsletter.

 LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Citiq Prepaid does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of either participating in the lucky draw or being selected as a winner.
