They say that some people are born for the jobs that they do. They’re so well suited to the task, so passionate about the work, and so involved in the profession that they are a perfect fit. A puzzle piece that’s found its home. This is a rare gift, and it is one that defines Ibrahim Mussa’s career.
“I’ve been learning everything there is to know about becoming an electrical contractor since I was a teenager,” he says. “My father was an electrician and he taught me so much about electrical work, and how to do this job properly. I started gathering experience from a very young age.”
When he hit 20, Ibrahim decided to set out on his own, building his own business and reputation through hard work, and a commitment to customer service and ethics. For Ibrahim, one of the most important aspects of his job, and the biggest reason why his customers keep coming back for more, is his commitment to honesty.
“I am honest with people,” he says. “I’d rather lose money than lie. I believe in honesty and in being absolutely ethical in my dealings with people. I don’t like to disappoint people, and I really don’t like lying. These two principles are important to me, and I believe this is why I have such strong relationships with my customers.”
Ibrahim is also fiercely independent. When asked why he loves his job, his first answer is always – I like the freedom to work on my own time. He likes to be independent and in charge, to manage his life and business in ways that make him happy, and to stay in love with the work that he does.
“I love my job, and I enjoy my work, and I hope this never changes,” he adds.
As for becoming one of the Citiq Installer Club’s (CIC) most successful members? Ibrahim realised early on that joining the CIC meant that he would benefit financially.
“I sell a lot of meters and I realised that I was losing out by not being a CIC member,” he concludes. “I found out about it when I was doing the registration, and the help desk at Citiq Prepaid gave me all the information I needed and advised me how to join. So I did. And this is one of the main reasons that I work with Citiq Prepaid – their prepaid sub-meters are cost-effective and the CIC gives me money back which makes it worth my while.”
Ibrahim loves his job, enjoys working with the CIC, and is committed to ethical customer service – it’s easy to see why he’s one of Citiq Prepaid’s top installers.
