Loyalty programmes are a powerful way of rewarding people for their commitment and their contributions, especially when they’re customised to suit very specific requirements. This is what Citiq Prepaid set out to do when it developed the Citiq Installation Club (CIC) – a loyalty and rewards programme that recognises the contributions made by electrical contractors and wholesalers.

“There are very few loyalty programmes designed to reward distributors as well as installers,” says Carel Scheepers, General Manager: Sales at Citiq Prepaid. “We believe, respect and recognise the relationships wholesalers and retailers have with their customers and the important role this relationship has in our success.”

CIC is the first rewards programme of its kind and was designed to add value to our distribution chain. Using a points-based system, CIC offers rewards for prepaid meters registered on the Citiq Prepaid system. Installers receive one point for each meter registered and once they reach 20 points, they receive a voucher worth R500 to spend at their preferred wholesaler. Citiq Prepaid reimburses the wholesaler for the voucher.

“The programme has seen significant growth from our wholesalers and contractors,” concludes Scheepers. “Our first voucher was issued within two weeks of launching the CIC  and we have already paid out more than R10 000 in rewards. We are seeing ongoing registration and participation in CIC.”

CIC members gain access to loyalty reward points, an active Citiq Prepaid community and live business leads from the call centre making it one of the most dynamic rewards programmes on the market today.
